Fan mail from some
flounder:
Saw your show in Lexington last month and loved it! I want to take my mom and sister to hear you
gals.
Stephanie New!
I was at the show in Midway tonight and loved it! It was my first "BATS"
experience. What a blast. Thanks again for a wonderful night.
Debbie New!
Hi, Ladies! I saw the show tonight in Midway and thought the show was WONDERFUL!!! You all are fabulous!!! Thank you for sharing your spirit!!! "I Hope" was a beautiful way to end the show - it was unbelievable….and you performed it well!!!!! Thanks for the show!!!!
Linda New!
Oh my, you make me laugh!!!!!! Just when I need a lift, here comes your Bat Mail......perfect timing!
Cindy New!
I came to Richmond from Atlanta last weekend to visit my friend Kathy and she brought me to your show. Wow, we are now fans for life. Loved your entire performance and hated for the show to end. You would be a big hit down here. Any chance that you could bring the show on the road to this area? There are lots of women in this north metro Atlanta area who would love you as much as I did. Your new fan,
Lynne New!
Thanks for all the pleasure you bring!!!
Dana New!
EXCELLENT SHOW FRIDAY NIGHT AS USUAL... YOU GIRLS ROCK ! !
I had heard fantastic things about The Bats and finally got to see you in Midway recently (well, sort of recently, this calendar year I think). I've ranted and raved about you all but my girlfriends and I haven't been able to arrange another date to see you. It will be our first priority if you come to Frankfort.
Johnna
I saw The Bats show at Natasha’s on Friday night and I love you guys (gals)!!! I’m getting a group together, including some of the men who I know will love your songs. We have so much talent in KY and The Bats are up on top of that list.
Barbara
Once again, your emails are as priceless as your concerts!!!!! Keep on truckin'!
Sandra
(The Jessamine Humane Society Fund Raiser) is such a great thing...I have 3 doggies, 1 is adopted and 1 is a foster child from LA...you all are doing a great thing, our furry friends are looked over way too often!!
Becky
FANTASTIC! WHAT A WONDERFUL CAUSE; A CAUSE FOR THE PAWS. I'M A HUGE ANIMAL LOVER. COUNT ON ME FOR CANINE AND FELINE TREATS WHEN NEXT THE BATS FLY.
DT
Hey we had a great time...my husband Mark won the tie for 2nd best cutest sweater..he wore it to church today. Our group had the best time! Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all the Bats, their families and friends. Happy New Year too!
Judy
You are just too cute and so creative!!!
Debbie
I haven't seen my mom laugh that much in a long time. She has chronic back pain, and your show definitely took her mind off of that for a couple of hours, and so I don't think I could say enough good things about what you and the other Bats do. I will be back to hear you again this summer, and I'll bring more friends.
KP
You guys are awesome. I caught both of your shows at Natasha’s Friday night. Here is a little funny for you…during the late show I was sitting next to a table of elderly women who were quite unanimated. I wasn’t sure if they “got it” or whether they were enjoying themselves…UNTIL…you fired up the “Love Train”. This older woman tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Let’s Go!” When you can get a 70+ year old fired up, you’re on to something. Just imagine what would happen if you took your gigs to the retirement homes? Thanks for great entertainment. It’s always a pleasure to hear the Bats.
KRM
Saturday was tremendous fun! "We're So Vain" made me wish for a Depend. "Very well...fire trucked!" You are a very talented and funny bunch. KT and I literally laughed until we cried.
SY
great show...we really enjoyed it...looking forward to the next show...thanks
UD
We went to the Friday show....I
can't believe my quiet neighbor Melanie Johnson was up on
stage...and great! We are planning to come (again) and
bring a big group! Hello Melanie! What a nice,
very nice surprise! At 47 I am considering becoming a
groupie, not quite to the extreme Susan Sarandon and Goldie
Hawn were in there change of life movie, can't think of the
name...my ginko bioba is not working!
J. B.
The band sounded great...the
wonderful women in the band reminded me of what's great
about getting older as a woman...that is, the freedom to do
exactly what you want and have a good time! I've been
feeling particularly old and wrinkly lately, so they really
lifted my spirits. And, again, there was the wine! (Of
course, I had to sleep for two hours on Saturday afternoon
to recover!) I'd love to come again with a bunch of
women...may try to organize a girls night out.

I made my reservations in the cheap seats for the Midway
show and am bringing my wife. She'll love the show better than she loves me
- which is understandable. Maybe she can give a "hot
flash" testimonial for you. We live with them here at
the house - they're smokin'.

You Bats are
very, very special. The shtick, the sensibility, the song
choice and the musicianship -- it's a batty, magical
combination. And it ain't just me; it just fills your
audiences to the brim with joy, it really does. Even my
Republican dad was cracking up. That's a helluva bridge you've
built. I'm so proud of you -- you continue to pack the house(s),
you keep 'em rolling in the aisles, and you keep 'em singing
along. I'm so glad to have collided with you in this life.

Good show last night; my wife and I have
become fans. I've heard of the group for some time ( I'm in
the Jazz Arts Foundation), but we were curious: how long have
you been together? That cohesion takes time.

grew up with shoop-shoop)
Just wanted to drop you guys a note to tell
you how much we enjoyed last nights show .. Our
wine-dinking group of 5 was on the first level near the stage
and I was the "bald" guy you pointed out! We have
followed you all since we first saw you at the Coach House
several years ago...Keep up the great work - we really enjoy
!
S. G.
I
have told so many of my friends about you all and they all
want to come to see you. I never had so much fun for a
long time. I was the wild woman at the small
table next to the bar, if you remember. You all were
so refreshing and very talented. Look forward to
seeing you again soon.
L.K.
I just love getting the newsletters...Why don't you go
on tour? You guys are great!
S. S.
Your
e-mails are absolutely the best! Who needs Comedy Central
when we have you! Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report are a
distant second.
Sandra
FABULOUS
show on Saturday. I can’t believe you did “Bald Headed
Men.” Is that serendipity or what? And Bob and I
kept talking about no noodles with your poodles and no puppy
parmesan. Hysterical!
Liz
You
are too great! I
have love every single message that you send, and I have been to
two of your shows at Natasha's. I'll see if I can lasso some
buddies of mine for the 24th.
The "We're So Vain" number is by far the
current favorite! :-)
Anyway,
your creativity and energy is most inspiring. Thanks for what
you do. Thanks, especially, for the "water"
fundraiser. What a worthy cause!!!
Amy
After
42 years of marriage, I still never know what to expect from my
wife. (That is
either a reflection of my slowness, or her complexity. It's
probably the former, but I prefer the latter.) I thought she
might enjoy it, but she loved! it. I really cannot remember
anytime I have ever seen her so "into" something. You
just never know. Anyway, keep up the great work. I am sure you
will see us out in the audience again.
Bill
I
had so much fun sat night! Have forgotten how great it is
to be out with the girls.
Hope to do the Bat-thing again soon.
XO,
Beth
So
enjoyed your show Saturday.
You all get better every time I see you. Just a
note...you may not know your therapeutic powers.
My husband is deployed in Afghanistan and Saturday
morning I saw the news that we lost four soldiers to a landmine
about 10 miles away from where he is based.
They
were in a communications lockdown until all family members were
notified, so I spent all of Saturday not knowing.
I came to your show not knowing, and your show was such a
helpful distraction to not knowing. Thank you for helping me
laugh when I really needed it.
I finally found out at midnight Saturday that he is ok….Thanks
again for being my personal "U.S.O." group Saturday.
Keep up the good work. J.
All 6 of
us had a great time with you all last Friday night at Natasha's,
and I can't believe you predicted, and I did end up leading the
"love train"! What a fun evening!
Suffice it to say we're hooked
.
Bill
I
also visited The Bats website.
Way Cool! It's
obvious you all have a great sense of humor and have lots of
fun. I would love to
come hear you play, and will try to make it to the July 29 gig
at Natasha's. In looking at your playlist, we have a lot of
songs in common play and I am going to talk up the July 29 date
and try to get a bunch of us to attend.
I have a feeling we're in for a treat!
Pat
Hey
Bats,
You guys are great! We’d
love to be members of your fan club!
Laurie
Thank
you for “The Dance.” Beautiful
and touching song!
Diane
I
loved the show! Both
times!! Esp. “Keep
It to Yourself.”
Vickie
I
want to be a Bat when I grow up!
What do I need to do?
I am six years old.
