This is no trick. We've got delicious musical treats in our fake Kate Spade candy bags in October, when witches bitch, vampires suck, and pumpkins get smashed--just like our fans! Naturally, it's THE BATS' favorite month, so we're celebrating with three fabulous gigs. You provide the mayhem and applause, and we'll throw in spooky door prizes, scary decor, and great music. What better way to get in the mood for Halloween?

First off : The Vampire Cabaret, brought to you by the bloody wonderful folks at Central Kentucky Blood Center, on Friday the 13th (not that we're superstitious). We'll be flying our broomschticks on the patio at Azur Restaurant, 3070 Lakecrest Circle in Beaumont Centre, from 8 to 11 pm. Sample the elegantly contemporary food & drink of Hot Azur chefs Jeremy Ashby, Miguel Rivas, and Aaron Hopper at this "friend-raiser" for CKBC. There's no cover, but you absolutely MUST RSVP by October 6 to CKBC at 276-2530ext. 2289. (Please do not call Azur to make your Vampire Cabaret reservations.)

Next Up: two special nights at Natasha's Cafe, 110 Esplanade in downtown Lexington. On Friday, October 20th, and Saturday, the 21st, we'll treat you to special, extended shows at 8 pm. That's right! Only one seating per night! You'll have time for dessert and a dance. Enjoy Natasha's eclectic menu, international wine & beer lists, and funky atmosphere while we regale you with a Halloween mix of poignancy, comedy, rock, raunch, and candy corn. We'll have so much fun, it'll be scary! Tickets are $10, costumes are welcome, and reservations are a must! Call 259-2754 during Box Office hours, Mon.-Fri., 11 to 4, beginning Monday, October 2.
News Flash!!! We're thrilled to announce that we'll be joined by our first-ever opening act, Midlife Harmony ( gotta love that name!), on Friday the 20th at Natasha's! Jill, Pat, and Chris are an acoustic classic rock trio that will entertain you with gorgeously lush harmonies starting at 7:30. What a bonus! We just know you're gonna love 'em as much as we do.
