Here we are, it's Labor Day already, and we Bats still haven't lost the ten pounds we intended to ditch before swimsuit season grabbed us by the flabby heinies. What a drag. On the bright side, though, soon it'll be cooler outside, and we can cover our " problem areas" with tunic tops over leggings. Can you believe leggings are back? What is this, a Flashdance Flashback? Oy! What a feeling!

Anyway, here's your early notice about our September gig at Natasha's Cafe, 112 Esplanade, in downtown Lexington. We'll do two shows on Friday, September 29. Come for the 7:30 Dinner Show or the 10:00 Cocktail Show, but come. You can make reservations and purchase tickets beginning September 11 at (859) 259-2754.

Many heartfelt thanks to all of you who came to last month's Jessamine Humane Society benefit shows. Together, we raised almost $2,600 and a ton of supplies for the care and feeding of homeless animals. Y'all are the best! Special kudos to those of you who volunteered merchandise and services for our little auctions or for door prizes. Every bit helped, and boy, did we have fun, or what?
