This has been one crazy month so far, no? What with drought, hail, tornado warnings, presidential debates, June weddings, and Paris Hilton's time in and out of Hotel Jailbait, we wonder: is it possible to lose 15 pounds in a week-and-a-half so that we can hang out by the pool without hanging out of our bathing suit bottoms? Since the answer to that question is probably a literal big fat NO, let's think about other things, shall we? Like, when and where are THE BATS playing?!?

Friday night, June 15, your favorite all-girl band will be in Danville, Kentucky, at The Danville Country Club, 275 Country Club Drive, for a special evening benefiting The Central Kentucky Cancer Program at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. This event is open to the public, but you must RSVP to our friend Amanda Bibb at 859-239-2361. Make the drive to Danville for a very worthy cause. Maybe we can convoy on the way home!

And if you're not up for a road trip, we'll be back at Natasha's Cafe for 2 shows on Friday, June 29. Dinner show at 7:30 ($10 cover): Cocktail Show at 10:00 ($7 cover). Reservations are already going fast at 259-2754, so get your act together, girls and boys. We're working on ours, too, and hope to have a new song or two ready to show off.

Further down the line, put us on your calendar on July 28 and 29. We'll return to Natasha's Cafe for three big shows in two big nights: Friday the 28th at 8:00 PM ($10 cover), and Saturday the 29th at 7:00 PM ($10) & 9:30 PM ($7). Tickets will go on sale July 2, and not a minute sooner, at 259-2754.
Many thanks to those of you who made the effort to come out and hear The Belleville Outfit. Aren't they absolutely great? (Wonder if that's the first time people have danced on the patio at Azur?) We'll get them back here soon, before they become so famous and busy that they don't have time for little ol' Lex. September or October, maybe.
